Events

We have two large events each year, in the Spring and Fall, and smaller events throughout the year!

The Spring Affaire is our spring fundraiser, with a rennaisance theme. We have a wine tasting and medieval falconry demonstration by our master falconer. Dress up or come as you are!

Fall Owl Fest is our largest event, and draws many visitors each year. We have face painting, flight demonstrations, live music, a raffel and lots of local vendors from the area. Of course our education birds are out and about as well, with plenty of opportunities to learn about our raptors, and to take a picture or two!

Henry's Valentines Day is held in February, in honor of Valentines day, and our Valentines Owl, Henry! Barn owls are sometimes called the Valentines Owl because of their unique heart-shaped face, and our barn owls will be out and about to celebrate! We also have a bake sale with lots of sweets handmade by our wonderful voluneers.

Kite Day celebrates the return of the Swallow-Tailed Kite to Florida! These magnificent birds migrate 5,000 miles each year to winter in Brazil and return to Florida in the spring. Come out and fly a kite with us, and you might spy a different kind of kite flying high above!

American Eagle Day is June 20th, and celebrated by ARC on the closest Saturday. This celebrates the recovery of the American bald eagle. Each year Uncle Sam comes to visit, and you can have a photo taken with our resident bald eagles!

These events are larger in scale than our normal saturday programs, and we couldn't do it without the help of our volunteers. If you can spare a saturday, come out and help us on these special days by volunteering!
