The Avian Reconditioning Center is such a special place to be, and Saturday, November 4th was no different. On a beautiful autumn day, we had our 12th annual Fall Owl Fest. Making it so special, our Master Falconer Scott McCorkle worked with Jeep, a Bald Eagle on his first flight demonstration with so many people watching! Thank you to all our sponsors, vendors, musicians, USFW, FWC and St Johns who had so much wildlife information. Thank you to all our hard working volunteers who help make this happen. Many thanks to all who came out to learn about raptors and have fun at the same time!

Global Harvest Foods is a family-owned business that specializes in the safest, highest quality food for backyard wildlife. All their products are made in America. Global Harvest sponsored ARC’s raptors at the recent trade show at the Orlando Convention Center to help educate people about the important role raptors play in maintaining healthy environments.
At the end of the show, Global Harvest donated nearly 5,000 pounds of wild bird food! We will use a small amount but the bulk it will be sold Buy One Get One as a fundraiser to support the care of our resident and rehabilitating raptors.
We have many different specialized seed blends in 5, 10, 15 and 20-pound sizes along with suet, woodpecker blocks and hummingbird food.

World renowned Red Huber, photographer,

videographer, photojournalist for the  Orlando Sentinel, came out to the center to do a featured article for Animal-Crazy.
The bird of prey he chose, was Jeep our new Educational Ambassador.  This video is not only through Red’s eye, but Jeeps too!  A Go Pro camera was attached to Jeep and off he went. Enjoy!

It looks like we are going to have another busy year with our Educational programs. Please book now to get the dates you are looking for.

Our Roaming Raptors are available to help teach your group about birds of prey and their importance to our ecosystem. You will learn what makes a bird a raptor and how to identify them. Learn about their natural history and much more.

ARC receives a percentage of all purchases made on Amazon via our link.
